Cuban Salsa: Two Handed Echeverría from Paseo Walk
The Echeverría twists are popular in Rueda de Casino mostly done from Guapea that doesn’t work that well in social dancing. Also it is an unusual basic figure most Follows don’t expect in social dancing and for that reason it is a little difficult to lead. I have made another tutorial about the basics of Echeverría, called Echeverría in social dancing.
The first tutorial focus on the easiest way to do Echeverría in social dancing, one handed from Dile Que No. In this second tutorial, the focus is on a more difficult two handed Echeverría done from a short Paseo Walk.
Echeverría is a great figure for variation because it is so unlike other figures, and it is one more good way for the couple to get apart for a while but still together as shown in the video. But the Lead can also pick the Follow up again immediately.
