Copenhagen Dance Venue: Islands Brygge
“Islands Brygge” (Island’s Quay) in the center of Copenhagen harbor is a very popular place for open air free dance events like Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Tango, almost every day in the summer time, and you have many indoor dance events the rest of the year.
This local Cultural Center dance venue with a lot of outdoor and indoor facilities, really is special in the summer time: splendid view of Copenhagen, you can eat and drink indoor as well as outdoor, you can go for a swim in the harbor (many people do), only a couple of dance steps away, and if it starts raining music and dancers simply move indoor.
Summer Dance
Just like the popular open air dance venue in “Fælledparken”, Islands Brygge has a 5 week summer program for dancing.

When the summer dance is organized by the salsabine.dk dance school (Salsa/Bachata 50%/50%), salsa on one dancers are likely to be the majority and that is rare in Copenhagen where more than 90% dance Cuban Salsa.

Dance Floor
The open air dance scene is low quality plywoodd sheets but ok for dancing. Inside the Cultural Center the dance floor is traditional wood boards.
Facilities
Cafeteria type of restaurant in the Cultural Center, situated in a popular residential neighborhood with many nice cafés and restaurants. Good parking.
